Apparently, IDW is going to start up a transformers title that picks up where the original run of Transformers (started in 85 I think) left off when the series was cancelled in 91. It is going to try and pick it up from the end of issue #80, the last issue in the title, and ignore all the comics, shows, and movies that diverged from that original story or changed the original story completely.

I am kinda excited about this. I always liked the original run back in the day, and I will be interested in seeing these books picked up where they left off.

I never got into the Transformers comic. Loved that Transformers/G.I.Joe combo on TV after school though.

You should go back and revisit it. They were really pretty good (ok, that is my memory talking...I need to go and revisit it too)

I remember going to the newsagent every week that my mother went shopping and picked up the English version of the Transformers.

Good, I'm still pissed at Michael Bay for ruining Transformers for me, lets hope this revival brings it back with style.

careful with that shit 'round these parts... you might end up in a 3 page discussion about who's a "real" fan.....

no, simply cautioning against speaking out against Transformers... there's a HUGE thread around here somewhere that goes on and on and... ON about Transformers and who's a bigger fan and if the movies are good (they aren't).

Speaking of Michael Bay. See the TMNT news. Freaking non-mutant non-teenage not really turtles but alien like beings that look like turtles who happen to be ninjas. Its like the man has a vendetta against my childhood.

If he goes near Fraggle Rock, I am going to have to hunt him down. (Ok, not Fraggle Rock. But can't think of anything cool from my childhood that hasn't been violently raped by Hollywood)
