Potential spoilers:

I am super confused on the origin of Ultimate Thor. I understand they wanted to change some things post Ultimatum but they gave two origins post ultimatum. In New Ultimates he is said to have been cast out for being reckless in a war with frost giants, and at the end of the comic Cap talks to Thor about going back to Asgard and seeing his father.
In Ultimate Thor, Thor is shown to have been sent to Earth because Odin was dead and Ragnarok took place in Asgard. Therefore, there would be no Asgard or Odin for Thor to go back and see. Ultimate Thor is supposed to take place prior to Thor becoming a part of the original Ultimates series.
I'm confused. Is there a reconciliation between the two, a retcon that makes sense, or what is going on?

Yeah, this is kinda weird. The remarks about Thor being banished by Odin in New Ultimates have never really been expounded. However, I believe it has been stated that there is more Thor origin to come. It could be that something happened before or after the events shown in Ultimate Thor which relate to it.

I think the general consensus right now is that the events of Ultimate Thor are canon, the stuff in New Ultimates maybe not so much.. but might be clarified later. Damnit, Loeb. ;[

I know Loki is a liar, so he could have been skewing thebtruth, but then Thor taking about visiting Odin and Asgard throws me. The only thing I csn figure is that Thos restores Asgard after Ragnarok, but that is never stated. Also, if Thor reverses Ragnarok, why would he be banished no matter how hot headed?

Really that's dissapointing to hear. I really liked his color trilogy and he did one of my favorite Batman stories in the long Halloween. But I've heard bad things about his extended series runs, which kind of bums me out.

I've said it before, but he has written some of my favorite comics ever, but whatever mojo he once had, is long gone...

His run on Wolverine is bad, everything he did in the Ultimate U is bad, Rulk was bad in concept AND execution.... just bad bad bad

I don't think Starnes likes Rulk either.
