Who are your favorite Marvel couples? Mine is Cyclops & Jean Grey. For me, their romance speaks about true love and sacrifice. I'll always feel for poor Scotty.

For me, those two had way to much "I love her, but because of my blah blah blah I can never be with her" in the early years. Just killed it for me. same with DD and Karen Page and Iron Man and Pepper, and like almost every other super-hero.

Can't go Cap & Sharon, cause he was a total asshat towards her all the time. Same with the Reeds.

So I will say Parker and MJ.

I like the Cyclops/Emma Frost pairing.

Storm and T'Challa was an interesting match too.

I'm gonna take a pick from left field and go with Justice and Firestar.

I grew up with Scott and Jean being the ultimate superhero relationship. I literally was the first person in the door in the morning at my local comic book store when X-Men #30 came out. I was in the fourth grade.

As I read more and more and found out about stuff like Madelyn Pryor I pretty much just put my hands in my ears and said "nyah nyah nyah I can't hear you!" Needless to say Scott and Emma pissed me off royally.

Now I've come to accept that Scott is kind of a tool (not that he isn't right a lot of the times) and they just aren't going to let Scott and Jean have a happily ever after. Oh well.

That being said, I'd probably have to go with Peter and Mary Jane as my favorite. But they had to go and eff that up too, didn't they? I guess it makes sense when you think their target audience is 14 year old boys and nobody wants to see a lot of happy lovey-dovey stuff. I'm just too much of a romantic, maybe.

Oh, and this is interesting if you guys haven't seen it: it's a relationship map of X-Men related characters. Pretty tangled. http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/artic ... pmapv1.htm

My better half really likes Jean Grey and its one of the few that sticks out for me too. I think the older I get I would like to see a few more couples thrown into the mix. Who knows, maybe I just like the drama of it?

The Cyclops/Emma relationship benefits from taking place during the era with better writing.
Also I like the dynamic that Cyke "just don't give a &@$#" what anyone thinks about his GF and how his teammates call her a skank. It's a more *interesting* relationship, if you catch my meaning.
See: Astonishing X-Men V3 #1.

That X-Men relationship map is twisted! I love how many red lines Wolverine has, haha! He's a straight up player. Poor Cyclops is a serious relationship kind of guy.

To be fair, Wolverine is like a million years old, so the geezer has had the time for all his lady friends. That and he's probably been in more issues/year than any other superhero ever lol.
