Anyone see the story of Marvel writing a comic with a character called Blue Ear? My son was telling me this story and at first I didn't believe it. Some 4 year old boy did not want to wear his hearing aid anymore, said Superheroes don't wear them and his mom wrote to Marvel. They created a character Blue Ear and he wears a hearing device. Pretty cool!

Yea, I saw that. The stories that reported it blew it way way out of proportion. They aren't making a new character, then made a single issue for this kid. Not something mass produced.

Doesn't Hawkeye wear hearing aids?

They only made 1 single issue? I thought they were making 1 comic with Blue Ear but they were still selling it. I think it is a huge deal. What other company would listen to a mom about her son not wanting to wear a hearing aid? Marvel rocks!

It wasn't even a full issue, just some promotional art, as far as I can tell.

Hey! Where's my promo art featuring a made up new character who suffers from lazy but manages to overcome his affliction by fooling people?!

DOOM, once again your insensitivity gives you away! I have been trying to get lazy ass bastard syndrome, or LABS, recognized by the AMA for over a decade now. When recognized, I will get some tasty pharmaceuticals and a free pass from work. "Sorry boss, having a LABS flareup, you're lucky I found the energy to call it in."

Paid for by The Reed Richards Memorial 5k Fun Run to Cure Lazy Ass Bastard Syndrome Foundation Incorporated.
