Who reads Song of Ice and Fire Series by George R. R. Martin here?

Excellent series. I hope Winds of Winter comes out soon. I can't wait

I hate Martin. I know people are crazy about Game of thrones, but his writing just bores the shit out of me.

Don't hold your breath. At the rate he has put those books out It'll be years before that things sees the light of day. Hopefully the fact that the HBO series is going on now will force him to keep up, but I doubt it.

Still really need to read something by him. Seems to be quite polarising, all my friends seem to think he's either the greatest thing ever or that he can't write for tuppence. Nothing in between.

If I can find the books second hand I might give them ago, although do not tend to usually read this fantasy type book.

I have some workmates that are huge fans but I balk at committing to reading all those bits of dead tree. I worry life is too short to get dragged into a fantasy series that massive. But I jump blindly into comics reading with little fear or regard for established continuity. Go figure.

Well even at its worse, comics are better then those books.

Also, on a side note, man Richards, after being away for a little while you sure do play catchup well. I think you replied to every post written in your absense. Your a mad man.
