Which do you think is better? Halo or Call of Duty?

I say Halo.

What do you think?

Call of Duty. I just do not like the Halo franchise. I shouldn't be able to shoot a guy 5 times and have them be ok.

I don't know that I would really compare the two. They're not really the same thing beyond being FPS's. I have a lot of fond memories of playing Halo multiplayer with my buddies in college though, so I guess I'll give the Master Chief the nod here, for that reason alone.

Its the Multiplayer in Halo that really bugs me. All the bunny hopping around....

Is it realistic in any way? Nope. Was it fun when I was 19 and wasted? Oh hell yes. We rounded out our top 3 with Mario Kart and Super Mario Strikers (if you haven't played it you're missing out).

Call Of Duty, Halo lost me after the first two games, I think the story line just lost a lot of it's original zest.

Halo (the original) is probably the worst shooter I've ever played. Managed 3 or 4 hours of it before I had to put it down, and as a result I've never bothered with any of the others. One of the most dull gaming experiences I've ever had. Despite not being a fan of the Call of Duty series, at least I managed to finish Modern Warfare 2.

I agree they don't compare well.

That being said, I have fond memories of sitting in front of my friend's 55" TV playing Halo with a cardboard divider down the middle to prevent screen looking between teams.

CoD I mostly just remember getting schooled by kids half my age...

We talking about the whole series here? B/C I never liked COD til Modern Warfare I and while that was a GREAT game for me, I haven't really played any of them since. But Halo 1, 2, 3? Those were the crackiest of crack during college times. Last shooter I played offline and first I played online. Last shooters I enjoyed the campaign in too. I could pick up a COD and enjoy multiplayer after a lengthy reflex tuneup, but I wouldn't have the least interest in campaign mode or whatever you call it. And I'd be just as or more likely to grab a Battlefield. That said, I'd probably be more likely to get a Resistance or something than jump on a new Halo. Maybe I'd give Halo IV a shot.

Halo > COD

P.S. it's not supposed to be realistic. They are space marines. Fighting aliens. In SPAAAACE!

Really? I loved the WWII call of duties. I still go back and play them.
