I saw Avengers again, and was thinking, it might be cool to have an espionage/james bond type movie staring these two. I would be game to see that.

Yeah that would be cool. Maybe a prequel. It was pretty clear in the movie that they go waaaay back.

Man, eff the movie version of Bucky. With all the other things they ignore or let slip through proverbial cracks, seems like a non factor over here. No prize it: that was James "Bucky" Buchanan Sr on that train with Cap.

Um.. He fell in to that canyon/river whatever from the train, the Russians or whoever found him and viola! winter Soldier...
Jeez... I should write action movies. This is easy!

Exactly. I don't see what the problem is ... it's not like in the movie he seemed any more dead than in the comics ... that is to say, the whole "Bucky didn't die!" thing was completely and obviously pulled deep out of an ass in the first place.

To me, when I watched Captain America, I felt that by not showing Bucky hit the ground or showing his dead body, they were explicitly leaving themselves open to the possibility of using Winter Soldier later. Not that they were intending to use him, but I'm sure they consciously intended not to write themselves into a corner, just in case.

I hope they can keep the run of marvel movies going long enough to do something with that. Starting to hear a lot about Iron Man 3, but Capt 2 is remains in the dark.
