Copiously gleaned from issues #1-#410 of 'The Order'
My nominees are:
Most Interesting Character: I considered Spider-Man, but I have to go with Captain America. I relate the best to his 'out of time' character and the adjustments it's forced him to make. I'm glad the lamenting over Bucky is becoming less as he moves forward. He's growing!
Villian with the 'Most Hand': For whatever reason, I'm giving this one to Kang. Maybe I'm letting my childhood reading from the 80s influence me here, but he always has the most intricate 'schemes' and I dig the time travel angle. Bad-ass!
Least Annoying Group: Fantastic Four. No one else even close. They have undergone the most evolution. I know they've had the most issues, but when you look where they started and where thay are now, it's a big difference. The Torch's solo stories were cringe-worthy but I'm not holding that against the group. I find myself looking ahead in The Order to see when the FF issues are coming up.
Most Assinine Character: Daredevil. I have to agree with Starnes on this one. His origin/powers are cool, just horribly mishandled. I just finished the issue where he introduces 'Mike,' and I actually considered starting to skip Daredevil in The Order. But then my completionist/psycho tendencies started to take over... "Must...read...them...ALL!"
Lamest Villian: Any villain that's exclusively appeared in DD so far. Hmmm, let's see...The Owl, Stiltman, Leap Frog, Matador, "Animal People" or whatever, The Purple Man, The Plunderer...all vomit-inducing. I think he's fought Electro once. Every other villain...please!
Most Derivative Group: The Frightful Four. 'Nuff said.
Thanks to Reed Richards for reviving this one! I'll retort myself having now reached CMRO #1262, and call this "Character Awards from the 60s-Early 70s..."
Most Interesting Character: Did I really say Cap? Wow! I'll switch to Spider-Man. Excepting that ridiculous six-arm story, his shit is the most interesting.
Villian with the 'Most Hand': Gonna hafta switch again. I haven't seen a quality scheme from Kang since '68. The High Evolutionary: This MoFo is ballin'!
Least Annoying Group: I'll stick with The FF here. Sure they've had some lame adventures, but they still most consistently "bring it."
Most Assinine Character: Daredevil has improved enough to shift this one off to The Hulk. I'm now cringing when I see Hulk ahead in The Order. Iron Man is a close second here.
Lamest Villian: DD continues to trot out assorted fruits and nuts (he did move to California, after all), but I'm going with any villain that appears in an issue with "student protests." Yecch! Also Megaton, from the revived Captain Marvel was pretty lame.
Worst Implementation of a Good Idea Idea for a Group: The Zodiac. 'Nuff said!
