General agree though, censorship never helped anybody.

Censorship has never helped anybody is correct. Why would they ban the books? Holy crap! So it's a bit of erotica - "soft porn". I did not know that porn was outlawed! So far in NY they are not banned. I wonder what they do if you bought them and they are on your e-reader?

they can't mean "banned" as in "completely unavailable" can they?
I always thought "banned" just meant "not allowed in school" or somesuch.

It certainly is not something that should be read in school - it's way too erotic! Heck like I said, I blush when I read it. I talked to a lady that works in a Barnes and Noble and she said it's little old ladies that keep asking for it. How crazy is that.

True, green flame... that they do. President Obama was asked about the book when he did The View interview. I believe he said he wasn't sure if he knew the book, he would let his wife answer. Classy Obama!

I've heard of the book and all I've heard is chick porn. Is there more to the story-line than that? I really have no interest in something like a Danielle Steel novel, but everyone keeps talking about this series.

Certainly not a Danielle Steele series! I believe there might be another book coming out after book 3 (Fifty Shades Freed). Why not right? Author has made a crap load of money off first 3 - she would be crazy to stop.

I am not really into erotic fiction myself but I know a few people that have this on their wish list, namely my sister in law. For me it would be a weird gift to give to someone else. I am sure a ton of thought went into it seeing as its more than one book but its just not for me.
