I get that. I like when movies slow it down a bit and allow you to acquaint yourself with characters, but I've always been someone who doesn't care too much about what the plot is as much as how the people involved deal with that plot and each other.

I'm totally the opposite way around. All the stuff in Asgard made me think I'd made a bad decision in shelling out to see the movie at the cinema, the stuff on Earth redeemed it for me. I'm the same with the comics, just don't give the slightest crap what Thor and his buddies get up to in god land.
