I don't watch a lot of TV these days, but in the past.. Frasier is probably my favourite US sitcom.

I really like Dexter, as well. And a lot of British comedies like the IT Crowd, Father Ted, Red Dwarf, etc.

+1 for Dexter and Red Dwarf!

Heroes crashed and burned in the writer's strike, and never redeemed itself.

This reminds me. Shows I liked before they started sucking

Heroes
The Office
Smallville

Never been a fan of the US version of The Office, but I really like the UK one. Another one I like by the same guy is called "Extras".

I liked the UK one, but I didn't love it. Still, that first episode scene with Gervais playing guitar was great!

I forgot about Home Improvement! Great show!

I really think the Office is the pinnacle of funny on TV.
Not only is it laugh out loud funny, but it holds up to repeated viewings.

I'm curious when you think it started to suck?
I haven't seen the most recent season but I haven't noticed a dip in quality yet and a few of my friends still seem to enjoy it.

I forgot to mention Smallville too, but screams is right, it did start sucking. Supernatural is great too.

Yea, I like supernatural too. Although I wish they would go back to the "monster of the week" type episodes.

Me too, I didn't watch the last two episodes of Season 6, but I know what happens to Castiel. Just stupid. The series was supposed to end after five seasons, I'm glad it didn't, but I'm upset with the direction they're taking it.

Stargate SG-1 and Battlestar Galactica (new series) were good also. Preferred Stargate though.
