Hey guys.

Dunno if this has been covered already, but I'm wondering if the gap between Magik LS #1-4 (entry 4854 - 4857) and New Mutants v1 # 14 (entry 4970) shouldn't be closed up.

Not only do the opening and closing scenes of the Magik mini match up with the opening scene in NM 14, Illyana in both stories thinks about how it has been one year since she escaped from Limbo and how it ties in with her birthday. The only hitch is that in Magik, she refers to it being her 14th b/day while in NM it's her 15th, but that can easily be put down to Yana getting her numbers mixed up or some such.

What do you guys think?

I am looking at this, but I am not sure, the placement makes sense for everything else, and the contradictory mentions of her birthday throw me. Anyone else have any thoughts on this.

Though I'm not even near that point in order I think montee916 might be right. Seting is exacly the same (Illiana alone on the cliff , rest of New Mutants playing in the snow near the school), Magik is printed in march, New Mutants 14 in April. Moreover several New mutants are transported in issue 14 into the midle of magik 3 (damn time travel) so it suggest some kind of continuation.
About the birthday thing: it must be mistake. It's way past 1978 so Marvel Time is on. If those two issues show 14 & 15 birthday the second one should be printed 5 years later. Impossible.

All makes sense. Moved the issues.

Luke Cage's adventure with the Defenders happened between Powerman 21 & 22 (that how it is explained in issue 22), so I suggest moving Power Man 21 anywhere prior to Defenders 17.

Why is Wolverine v1 #1 4854 in the order, but issue 2-4 are 4587-4589?

Should Avengers #38 be moved closer to ToS #88b? I haven't read the stuff in between the two, so I may be saying this prematurely, but these two seem to happen simultaneously.

Thtt's very complicated. The same adventure of captain america, which starts in TOS 88b continues in further issues and happens also simultanously with avengers 40 (captain appears on the screen and asks avengers to help him, and that's why they have they adventure in avengers 40). Avengers 40 is connected with 39 which shows SHIELD. But Nick Fury had his great adventure in Strange Tales which had to be completed. Also Avengers 40 shows Sub Mariner which also mix with those. I'm not sure how it's all related, but if You want to change something You have to carefully check all those data.

The chronology is sometimes so messed up (by Marvel!!!!!!!!) that once I've waited 300 issues to change something in Spider-man chronology only to discaver that one samll editors note made it impossible and in a string of 15 issues of ASM there was not a minute he could appear in Marvel team up, yet that adventure was mentioned in ASM issue.
Not to mention Thor which is generally writen in a giant strings (20-30 issues) where there is no way he could appear in avengers. Sometimes I think that the Thor from Avengers is clone/robot/twin. Thats the only explanation.
Sad.

I have been working on post Secret Wars Spider-Man, where he is in both ASM, MTU and, Spectacular Spider-Man, when he is getting rid of his black suit and yet there are long runs. I had to shove issues of MTU and ASM between two Spectacular spider-man issues where the note says "a short while later". Apparently in that short while Spidey went on like 6 adventures.

The writers sometimes could give a shit about what other writers are using the characters for.
