I swear I read KnightFall but I don't recall Bane's orb.
What is that?

I have to say, I'm skeptical about this movie. Bane has one of the great villain debuts of my comic reading experience and I don't know if they'll be able to match that.

Also, Commish Gorndon is perfectly cast. (I thought of that when I saw him standing behind Catwoman.)

Yea, Oldman is genius casting...he also nails the character. He is to DC casting as JK Simmons is to Marvel in my opinion. They nailed the characters better then any other portraial so far. Don't know about the orb.

Yes to Oldman and Simmons as best cast.

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman? Meh. Don't care for her or the character. Maybe I have a bad attitude 'cause I thought the "Dark Knight" was extremely overrated and dare I say "boring."

I don't remember it being boring, but I haven't seen it since I watched it the first time. I think that the test of a movie like that is first "do I want to see it again?" and then "did I enjoy it the second time through?"

Really...you didn't like the Dark Knight. Man, I though Ledger was incredible in that.

Yeah, Heath Ledger was good. But, I felt like he was over doing it at times though. I think since the movie came out after he died, his performance received some undue praise. Like "this was his last major performance, so it has to be good" kinda thing.

I can remember being in the theater just wanting it to be over. (It didn't "beat" me though. Only two movies ever have: G.I. Joe and Armageddon).

Doom, I can appreciate your "film quality litmus test," and maybe I should give it a second viewing.

PS Maggie Gyllenhall(sp) is hardly a substitute for Katie Holmes.

Agreed on the PS...although I am not a fan of either lady to be honest.

They did go a little heavy on "Heath is great!"
I didn't want to agree, but I really liked his performance.

The litmus test is part of why I think most of his year's comic movies were disappoining: I don't really want to see any of them again.

I absolutely disagree with both of you on the Maggie/Katie subject.
I think they're both wonderful... Add Natalie Portman and you've probably got my three favoritest on Hollywood.
