All this deep intense discussion about instruments got me wondering. Does anyone play anything? Electric? Acoustic?

I used to play the organ, then progressed to the keyboard, but gave up once I entered my later teenage years. Didn't really think I was developing enough to continue it, but I'm moderately good.
Took up trumpet in middle school to get out of class, but quit that a three months later because I hated cleaning out the spit.
I recently got an electric guitar that I've been steadily learning to play.

Oh, I should say what I do.

I play bass mostly.

Aside from that I play regular guitar and piano mostly. I also enjoy ukulele and harmonica.

Not to brag, but I have 2 basses, 2 acoustic guitars, 2 ukuleles, electric piano, harmonica and a nose flute. I hope to one day have a didgeridoo or bagpipes.

I can't afford all that, sadly.
I do have many harmonicas. I can't play a single one though.

Well, I trumpeted in Jr High/HS. And I took a keyboard class in college, and I fancy that I can keep time on drums. I beat Rush Tom Sawyer on Rock Band on hard! And I cello'ed in elementary. And I have a banjo in my attic gathering dust. My electric guitar probably has rust on the strings from sad disuse.

How did you enjoy the spit valve on the trumpet? I couldn't stand repeatedly having to clean it out of my own built up spit.

You just get over it after a while.
