New guy here.

I was just wondering if the Star Wars comic can be put in the order. If so, where would the creators of this great resource put them, if they were to do it.

Hey, welcome to our little community.

We are focusing on the main Marvel world (usually called 616), and those issues that pertain to it. Star Wars definitly does not fall into that category and will not be in the reading order. I am however working on associated reading orders (golden ere, WWII, Western, 2099, Conan), and can do one for Star Wars in there.

That is a little ways off though unfortunitly, at least until I get to closer in to more modern time. Until then, maybe one of the other folks here in the forum can come up with or direct you to a order for the Star Wars books....(Was there more then 1 star wars comic title published by Marvel...is there a need to have an order for them...beyond being able to check off books?)

I think there were some original Star Wars stories published by Marvel UK at some point. Aside from that it was just the one ongoing title, and one limited series that adapted Return of The Jedi. After that Marvel didn't renew the rights and it was picked up by Dark Horse Comics.

There are already some great Star Wars timelines out there. I don't know of any that are merely of the Marvel material, but if all you're looking for is reading order, you can easily see the order of the Marvel stuff in Joe Bongiorno's Star Wars Expanded Universe Timeline or Dino Jim's Star Wars Timeline Checklist. A massive, nearly 2,000 page timeline with summaries is the Star Wars Timeline Gold.

Thank you kindly for the replies. I think I'll just read them independently of the rest of this absolutely wonderful reading order.

I hope I made my appreciation clear there.
