For Page amounts, Cover and credits page count as one each, and double page spreads also count as one page.
If you wish to read this event without switching from book to book, then read each World War Hulk issue in its entirety where it's first placed, but each secondary book in the second position it occupies - for example, Avengers Initiative #04 would be read altogether after World War Hulk #02 instead of either side. The flow will obviously be broken up, but there's nothing to be done.

Breakdown
#01 - Intro to why the Hulk is coming to Earth
#02 - Cho meets She-Hulk and Co.
#03 - These events take place before the events of WWH - Hulk hasn't fought Black Bolt yet, and we only see Hulk's arm.
#04 - Hulk defeats Black Bolt, issues Ultimatum, then EMP's Iron man.
#05 - Cho and Co travel to Namor and receive Hulk's ultimatum underwater.
#06 - #08 - Immediately after coming to Earth, Hulk goes after Professor X to see if he should be included in his "Justice" - placed here because he arrived at Earth about 8pm (WWH Frontline gave the time). The X-Men see the ultimatum on TV and immediately after, the Hulk arrives. During the X-Men fight it turns to night and through to morning, after which he jumps straight to his ship.
#09 - #12 - Gamma corps - Early the next day, as it is light out and Hulk is standing on his ship before the attack. Giving a time period for him to be away fighting the Corps before returning for Ghost Rider and Iron Man fight
#13 - Korg and others land in central park in the morning.
#14 - #18 - Heroes for Hire infiltrate the Ship during the second day too, in #12 one of the hivelings says "Two Hands (Hulk) will fight the Iron Man soon" and the SHIELD agent at the start of #11 said Hulk arrived yesterday. The rest of the story takes place before it gets dark. Heroes for Hire are all definitely before WWH #02 as Madison Square Garden is deserted during their break out and it's just turning to night time as well (They were also only captured for a few hours), so likely before the second part of WWH #01 - gives Brood a small amount of time to recover and then be present for the Avengers fight. This explains the Hulk's absence (Gamma Corps, Ghost Rider etc), as well as the absence of the rest of the warbound in the final issue (getting themselves ready for the fight to come).
#19 - The secondary stories take place just after 1pm and last throughout the afternoon getting it wrapped up before Korg takes part in the Avengers fight.
#20 - #21 - Ghost rider travelling to New York during the day, and fighting Hulk as it gets dark (after Hulk returns from Gamma Corps fight) - It's got to be right before the Iron Man fight due to the events of Avengers Initiative #04. The busted Iron Man helmet is either foreshadowing, or the fight literally happened whilst Dr. Strange was talking.
#22 - #28 - Iron man sorts stuff out during the day and ends up fighting. The first part of Avengers Initiative #04 covers certain important events and also how all the superheroes were reached to help with the evacuation. The rest of World War Hulk #01 and the first part of #02 shows his fight with Iron man and then the Avengers. Right after beating She Hulk and Co, the second part of the Initiative issue is that team running to the fight and finding them (The Avengers) destroyed - which immediately also happens to them (the Initiative team), albeit off screen. The second part of WWH #02 is the fight against the Fantastic Four. The Ant Man comic is pointless, doesn't show up anywhere else in the event, and is basically just a bit of comedic relief, hence marked as optional (covers Hulk's ultimatum, then jumps straight into the Iron Man fight).
#29 - #34 - Covers Cho and Co meeting Hulk in the city and General Ross's Military force attacking immediately after Hulk defeats the Avengers and Fantastic Four.
#35 - Iron Man is captured but not placed with the rest? It's during the day (Dugan's attack) so has to be after the Avengers, Fantastic Four and Ross's Military fight which all happened immediately after Iron Man was beaten. Hard to place as Stark seems to be by himself, not in cages like they are later, but it's hard to tell. Overall, fits best here.
#36 - The initiative retrieve their own forces whilst the Hulk is fighting another Military force. Happens after Iron Man #20 (Editors note in Initiative Issue)
#37 - #38 - Cho, having helped the military save people and avert disaster, then chooses to infiltrate Hulk's dungeons and speak to him. Doesn't go well, but ends up with everyone still alive.
#39 - 41 - Some of the Warbound attack Dr. Strange's Sanctum and beat his defenders, but he (Strange) summons Zom and disappears, only to re-appear in the arena and fight Hulk, causing damage. Cho speaks to Hulk at the end of this part.
#42 - #45 - Hulk sets up the arena fights and this plays through up until the Sentry beats him.
#46 - Whilst the arena fights were happening, Cho and Co were fighting the Zom possessed Hulkbuster Armor. To place it any earlier would spoil the arrival of the Sentry and as it happens concurrently, it therefore makes more sense to place it after.
Aftersmash
#01 - Is immediately following the World War Hulk main event. #02 - #04 - Titled "A short time after the events of WWH" - Construction job given. #05 - #09 - "Two weeks after WWH" - construction seen taking place at start.
I don't think there are many/any discrepancies, but if there are, feel free to point them out
