See, if they did that, it would be all good and I would be behind it too.

The question is, how long until they start crossing them over? cause you know its going to happen.

Crossing over isn't a problem at all if it makes for good stories.

I'm a long time comic reader of both major companies and I'm always wary when there's a reboot from either of them.

D.C. had been going in absolutely the right direction and had brought back the original Justice League and had even teased that they were going to be back together under Geoff John's auspices. But circumstances outside of comics have caused them to go down this path...one that I'm sadly not enjoying.

What with finding this brilliant resource and not enjoying much in the way of new comics, I'm finding myself going back to the past more and more.

Well, I think honestly DC needed the reboot. Their continuity was just completely hosed...

Yep...Cause they tried to reboot and keep a bunch of continuity at the same time....Not sure how fully thought hot this plan was...

Very true.

The only real changes I've noticed are within the Superman books, hammering home the idea that the entire impetus of the relaunch was to separate Superman further from the Siegel/Shuster content. That's a rather conspiratorial thought to have, though. I apologize if this has already been touched on as I didn't read the entire thread before posting.

I totally buy that conspiracy, I'd also say they did it to re-integrate Vertigo characters, integrate Wildstorm and to push the Golden Age leftovers back into the multiverse. Problem is they ham fisted it, so it seems really sloppy.

Jim, I think you'll find that's the exact reason why they've changed Superman so much. I think they were concerned with the idea of Post Hoc Ergo Proctor Hoc (after this because of it) with the rest of the characters so they changed as well. If the legal proceedings are resolved without the families demanding anything more than the 100 odd million they got every year then the powers that be (that keep themselves in splendour and security) at D.C. will write this off as one of the 52 Universes.

If not, we're stuck with the underwhelming changes.

I'm old enough to remember the New Universe at Marvel. That had much the same hype as this has. I think I lasted 4 issues of D.P.7. 2 of Strikeforce Morturi and only one of Justice (even though it was done by Archie Goodwin, whom I have great respect for.)
