I didn't like the movie that much. Probably because I don't like Ben Affleck. :P

I didn't think DD movie was that bad. I rather liked it, but I don't have a lot of fanboy requisite baggage for the character like I do for say X-men. You know, fanboy requisite baggage: They changed it so it sucks. That's not how it REALLY is. Etc

Haha, is that Daredevil? If so then that's probably like the peak of awfulness before Miller joins the group and turns it all around. =P

I don't dislike the character Daredevil, but the stories and situations he ends up in are definitely poor for the most part. Obviously the character had potential because he's ended up as one of the most famous now, but it sure took Marvel a long time to find it.

In some ways I'm surprised they stuck at it as long as they did. I guess it was selling even though it sucked?

Best Character: Spider-Man, I've enjoyed that title more than any other.
Best Villain: Kang, I think he interests me the most.
Best Group: The Avengers, I like the FF a lot, but the Avengers have better characters.
Worst Character: Sub-Mariner, it's a struggle reading his title most times.
Worst Villain: The Stranger, he's a lame character that can't be beat... right.
Worst Group: The Frightful Four, they irritate me, especially the Trapster.

That movie totally blew.

The Directors Cut made it a better movie. The playground fight scene is incredibly bad for the time spent on it though. The rest of it... worked well enough although a fair amount of the fight scenes were very much "jump around with obvious wires" and slow (keep in mind I'm judging it solely as a movie, not having read any Daredevil)

Green Lantern huh? As a character, he never did it for me. I mean, I was never a huge DC guy, but I just never found him interesting.

Green Lantern as an idea never really appealed to me. However, on Doom's recommendation I checked out Sinestro Corps. War a while back and it was seriously good. It really managed to squeeze a huge amount of information about the Green Lanterns, their history and the specific characters involved - while somehow not distracting from the story it was telling at all.

If you wanna learn more about Green Lantern, I'd recommend it.

Just resurrecting threads here, but let me triple down on the rec for Sinestro Corps. It's a war in spaaaace! How could you not like GL? Space cop with weapon fueled by his willpower and only limited by his imagination? Sounds cool to me. And Hal Jordan? THE hotshot womanizing test pilot? So cool. To anyone with the time, GL is awesome, Hal is my boy from way back and Sinestro Corps War is a great run full of action and a good introduction to the GL corps and its lore.
