I'm now halfway through the "Trial of the Gods" arc in Thor, by far the longest continuing story so far in the order. Not only is it pretty good on its own, but the overall quality among all the titles is pretty good at this point; I don't find myself struggling to finish issues. In fact, I've found myself reading the next one even when I've promised myself I'd go to sleep! I guess that's the kind of problem you want to have.

Well, I don't actually believe I'll get into this!!!

Since I was 13 yr, in the mid 90' a friend of mine introduced me to Spider-man, and I loved it. That lonely guy and so on got me, I kept collecting it, and eventually buyed other marvel comics like Wolwerine and X-Men untill I was 15, than I moved to Germany 'nd couldn't afford comics anymore. Since at those times there was a lag between original publication and launching in Brazil I was reading the second clone saga (you may hate me, but I enjoyed it), left Brazil almost on it's end. I also bought old comics in specialized (and cheap) stores, so I readed almost all of McFarlane and much about Venom and other 80's stuff.

I stumbled upon this site for the first time somewhen early last year. I was searchig a way to get all of Spider-Man in order to read and wondered if I would go for the rest of Marvel, as I always enjoyed the X-Men, Daredevil and Fantastic Four (but Avengers never grabed me). When I came here the site was beginning, I believe I remember the list to be like an Excel spreadsheet, well, I thought: "Great job guys" and eventually found a source to read Spidey and went on it, now I was to read Marvel Team Up 49 (# 2371 in the order), but no, I am loosing something and won't wait to get old (if I get) to read it, and now I decided: I am going to read the complete order!!!

Well, I won't be able to read as quickly as people here are doing, but I'll do my way through it!!!

I would like to thank you all for this awesome community, but specially you tstarnes (you're the creator, right?) for giving your time to all this huge effort. Thank you.

It is great to hear someone so enthusiastic. Yea, reading the order is a big challenge, but it is also pretty rewarding. From where I am in the order (1200's), I look back and think, man, a lot has happened to these characters. Sure there are some really though parts to get through (I'm looking at you first 70 issues of Daredevil), but there is also some really really good runs.

I encourage you to jump into the discussion. A lot of people are reading or have just read the section that you are reading. I find it really adds to reading the order to discuss what is going on and what others thought about the books.

(Yes I made the site and started the project, but by this point its as much created by guys like fragsle, green, redsvetz, and all the others who are constantly giving updates and fixes and suggestions.)

For me the internet is something I do when there's nothing else to do (i.e. Most of my life =P), but when I'm doing something really worthwhile like travelling then I don't miss it at all.

If my internet goes while I'm at home, though, I do flip my shit. I can't have my Minecraft server going down!

Well, many of my hobbies (This for instance), and most my work are all internet based. Sure, if I am traveling for vacation I can go most the day without it, but at night I have to plug back in and get caught up on things.

Hello all. Just wanted to say that this site is awesome!

I'm going to be starting to read through this. When I was a kid I read some comics but I could never get into it just because there were so many and it was confusing to keep up with it all.
I probably won't read everything but I want to read at least the really important ones.

Some questions...

1. I ordered some marvel masterworks just because I don't have a tablet at the moment to read at the moment and I prefer paper. Is this a really bad idea?
This will probably way too expensive so I'm not sure how far I will go with it, I may switch over to digital copies eventually, but there's just something about reading comics on paper that I really like!

2. How much value is it to read the golden-age Captain America comics? Are they totally irrelevant to the silver-age Captain America? Are the stories consistent with the silver-age Cap? Is there any enjoyment to be had? Same question with Sgt Fury.

3. Can someone give the very high-level overview of the Marvel timeline 1961-present. Like is the Spiderman of today the same one as in Amazing Spiderman 1? How many reboots has the Marvel universe had? (like I know in DC they've had these Crisis reboots that have rebooted things)
